 一直以来，有很多人一提到英文网站优化排名就会提到两样东西：DMOZ 收录和PR高低。那么这次GG又一次表明了自己的态度，对DMOZ进行了惩罚，原因在于很多人反应DMOZ的编辑员存在的腐败情况，相信这个事情大家也有听说。我自己也经常看到一些质量很差的网站都能被收录，真不知道他们是怎么审核的，这回好了，大家都公平了，我想说的是大家竞争的应该是网站本身的内容，这个才是根本所在！

Google have been coming down hard on directories recently and many of them have been penalized in the rankings, this looks to be something different though as the Dmoz homepage has just been flat out banned from the search results, check for the Google cache of the Dmoz homepage by clicking on the following link:

There have been a lot of people complaining about the corruption of Dmoz editors for quite some time now and this could be the reason why Google have banned them, check out Jeremy Schoemakers recent post on Dmoz extortion.

All in all I think this is a good thing, it was a nice idea but the directory has passed it’s sell by date, many of the categories contain broken links or links to parked domains and new business owners find it practically impossible to get listed most of the time because of the corruption.
